Shore Excursion Options - Super Cruise 2010
Dear Super Cruisers, We have been looking into some additional options for your port days while on the Carnival Dream. As you know, we have in the past recommended and still continue to recommend
reserving your tours through Carnival. However -- this is not mandatory nor is it the only way to plan your activities. Cruises Etc has worked with a company called ShoreTrips
and we are choosing to work with them again. ShoreTrips' mission is to provide more personal experiences in ports of call by keeping you all together in smaller groups. They have about 30 choices per port, some very similar to the cruise line's choices and some that they do exclusively. All of their tour operators have been personally met and selected by the owners of ShoreTrips to give you wonderful days ashore.
This is a voluntary option but here are the advantages: Everything
is pre-booked and pre-confirmed. Carnival will not provide you with your tour tickets until you have boarded the ship but ShoreTrips sends you off with your pre-confirmed voucher and will keep you and your friends
together, which is great if several of you want to plan activities together.
ShoreTrips makes it easy for you to spend your time on the ship enjoying the onboard amenities rather than you perhaps waiting in line at the shore excursions desk trying to make tour arrangements. The prices are very
competitive. Even the less costly tours like a simple island sightseeing tour may be the same price or slightly more that the cruise line price but it's worth it to travel with 12 people in the group rather than a bus
load of 50. And the more expensive, in-demand tours are often less than what the ship offers. Additionally, it is nearly impossible to speak to a live person at Carnival to discuss the shore excursions and they won't
book them by telephone for you. ShoreTrips will gladly answer your questions and provide direction for on-line bookings. The site is easy to use. You will first need to CREATE AN ACCOUNT and you can
do this by going to www.shoretrips.com
Once you have created an account and signed into ShoreTrips, click in the "Groups" option from the top menu bar. When you see SUPERBOWL 2010 Group,
click on the name and you will be taken to the list of tours Cruises Etc has pre-selected. A full page description is available if you click on the title of each tour offered. We selected a variety of options that we think will offer the most appeal across the board.
But remember, this is just a sample of the many tours offered. You can always book any of the other tours available. ShoreTrips will be happy to answer your questions and provide assistance. You can reach them by
calling 1-888-355-0220 and mentioning that you are part of the SUPERBOWL 2010 group on the Carnival Dream. ***SPECIAL NOTES: Some of our cruisers had previously asked us what
we recommended for Scuba Diving excursions and we provided ShoreTrips' site to you --- you can have your booking included in the group -- this is easy to do -- just call them and explain that you already booked but now
want to be part of the Superbowl group. ALSO: one of the most popular tours in Belize -- CAVE TUBING is temporarily NOT being offered by Carnival and is not available on our sailing.
ShoreTrips has two Cave Tubing options: one for Cave Tubing on its own and also offered in combination with a Zip Line tour. For those really wanting to do this fun and exhilarating tour, you really should book it
NOW with ShoreTrips! Remember, you are not obligated to book ANY excursions but for those who do, this is a fine option for your Super Cruise vacation. Cruises Etc has created this option for you but,
because you must have a personal account and email registered with ShoreTrips, we cannot book the tours nor collect your payments. Have fun with this -- we think shore excursions are a terrific way to make your vacation
